We guarantee the health of your new puppy to be free from life threatening genetic defects for a period of one year from the date of birth.
The following conditions must be met for the guarantee to remain in effect:
- The puppy must be taken to the vet in the first 2 business days to have a full exam by the vet of your choice. This will be at the buyers expense and a record of proof will need to be produced (detailed statement from the vet) that the puppy purchased from us was taken in. We suggest keeping it with this signed health guarantee.
- The puppy receives veterinary care at periodic intervals to include regular check-ups, worming, monthly heart-worm preventative, and the continuation of the vaccination series already started.
- The puppy receives daily rations of quality non-grain food and fresh water such that it is well nourishing and resistant to sickness.
- The puppy is housed in a suitable shelter typical for its breed and protected against extreme weather conditions.
What your puppy is guaranteed against:
- Your new puppy is guaranteed healthy and free of parvo and distemper at the time you take possession and for a period of 96 hours from date and time of purchase.
- Your new puppy is guaranteed free from life-threatening genetic defects including hip dysplasia and any other form of genetic defect affecting the health or welfare of your puppy for the period of 1 year from date of birth. If a life-threatening hereditary disease is diagnosed during the first year of your pup’s life, the buyer is required to provide reports from two un-associated, licensed veterinarians for the replacement of the puppy. The seller's veterinarian will then review these reports before a final decision is made.
What your puppy is not guaranteed against:
- This guarantee does not include an injury as a result of an accident involving the puppy.
- Umbilical Hernia’s are not life-threatening and do not affect the health of the puppy. They are often caused by the mother pulling too hard on the cord during birth. They can be easily fixed (but not necessary) when your pup is spayed or neutered and are not covered under this guarantee.
- The breeder is not responsible for any shipping, veterinary, or other expenses incurred.
- The seller will not be responsible for problems resulting from obesity, second hand smoke, allergies, allergic reactions, malnutrition, dehydration, starvation, or lack of proper vet care including regular vaccinations.
- We also do not guarantee your puppy will be the perfect show dog, the perfect breeder, the exact size or color you want him or her to be, or have the perfect temperament.
- We do not guarantee your puppy’s ears will stand fully erect. Sometimes there are injuries than can cause cartilage damage.
Because of availability, the seller has 1-year to provide a replacement puppy of comparable value but cannot guarantee the replacement will be from the same parents. No money is refunded, only puppy replacement. Buyer can also return pup to breeder, but this is left up to the buyer’s discretion. We will gladly take back any of our pups at any point during their lifetime, no questions asked.
This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser of the puppy.
We do guarantee if you love and care for your puppy, he or she will be a joy in your family.

We suggest you set up an appointment for your pup with your vet in advance of your pup coming home. To satisfy this health guarantee, we request that your puppy sees a vet with 2 business days. Also, please enroll in the 30 day free Pet Insurance offered by AKC (you will receive an email from them with the link). Generally speaking your pups should not require shots immediately as we keep all pups up to date on shots (they are done at 6 weeks, 11 weeks, 16 weeks). They get a 5-way parvo-distemper shot first, then 7-way shots successively (with Lepto). Rabies shots are given as required by law. What you do with your pup is your choice but we suggest you read about vaccinations in adult dogs and make your own decision.
PUPPY PURCHASE CONTRACT
Please take your time and make sure that the dog that you intend to take home is the dog that you want. Please remember that these dogs are very special and are a lifelong commitment. The seller does not guarantee the temperament of your dog.
This dog is guaranteed to be in good health to the best of the seller's knowledge. See separate written health guarantee. It is the buyer's responsibility to take the dog to the vet to have a full exam within 2 business days of the purchase of the dog. Without this examination the attached health guarantee will be considered null and void. This should be done and will be at the buyer's expense. It is also to be understood that all vet bills will be the buyer’s responsibility from the time of the purchase and pickup, forward. It is also the responsibility of the buyer to make sure that the dog has any and all shots in the future.
There will be NO CASH REFUND. This dog is sold "AS IS". If the dog dies from any hereditary defects or disorders during the first 72 hours then buyer must also provide proof of the cause of death from two qualified vets at buyers cost.
Seller will not assume any responsibility for any vet bills and other expenses after the dog leaves the seller’s or breeder’s hands. The buyer also releases the seller from any and all liabilities and damages after dog has left the sellers hands.
This contract will be NULL and Void if the dog is not checked by the vet within the given 2 business days or unless otherwise stated in this contract.
This contract shall be deemed a legal and binding agreement between the seller and the buyer and is under the jurisdiction of the state of North Carolina, in the county of Caldwell. The buyer and the seller hereby certify that we have read this contract and understand its complete contents and agree to it fully.
